Dear Taylor,
By way of background, I worked in public sector real estate for 35 years, both as a public employee and as a consultant. I estimate I acquired over 1,500 parcel in that time, all of which required formal appraisals as part of the process. I supervised and hired many appraisers over that time, and did some appraisal work myself early in my career. I managed Santa Ana's redevelopment program for 15 years, and worked for or consulted for over 25 other public entities.
